    Agree

    i love my 4200 / 6500......

in comparison to my mark 4 leup there isnt much difference unless your looking closely at something like a resolution chart at longer ranges

wholly recommended and s/h examples are nearly price proof

Unfortunately, you have mentioned it twice highest mag range in the world.
There is the March X 5-50 and 8-80.

The genuine fixed Mark 4 will knock spots off the 6500's, no contest and not fair being way more than twice the price. The PM2 25 mag is in same ball park but fails in resolution and detail though makes up for it in colour arbitration. 6500 30 mag better than 32 mag NXS optically, no gold fish bowl effect and no milkyness.

Agree nice scopes for rim or centrefire with large depth of field and an air of some sort of quality. Really liked the 4000 and later 4200 series optically.
There are a couple that use the 30 mag to good effect in FT, but most wouldnt get within +/- 8 yards under 50, a case of trying long and hard before buying.

Focus caps flimsy and prone to movement.
Can be refocused closer as well but not a huge amount.

I recently bought a second hand 2.5-16 x42 and am really impressed. Hunter turrets and I should have found a plex rather than a mildot (have no real use for a mildot that is so wide). For a .223 or .17 I think you couldn't really ask for more especially if you keep your range to point blank (not click click long range but just use a couple of holdovers); well it won't be the scope at fault in the field.

Mines going on a Sig 522 .22LR when it comes. 2.5X for walk up and more mag than I'll ever need for extending the range.. well as far as is practical for a rim fire. Mounts and scope under £400; job done. Totally OTT, great
