Recycle your spanners - or anything else!

    Recycle your old spanner.
High quality Steel, possibly Drop Forged.
    Make it into somthing else:

Do you know what it is! Have you done anything similar!
(And if 'Binners' Replies that its a toothpick and he recycled his
Granny False teeth into a main spring I could believe it)

That's a novel way to make a main sear for a Webley Service Mk.11. Air Rifle.
Good use of an old spanner.

    Service

    Well that didnt take long.

The Piston has quite a deep notch, the original sear was home made but
of poor quality steel with a welded head and worn too short.

A Hack saw 25 tooth not 32 tooth blade and about 4 hours later
it works well. You have to use an old Fat headed car spanner with
1/4" shaft, the fatter the head the better. (no good for motor bike Marsh,
they dont fit in between cylinder fins.) Drill the pivot hole first not last
in case you get that wrong.

Its the last hour, thats the worst. You have to be patient and only
take small amounts off otherwise.........you end up with a toothpick.
