    Reck police, help required.

I bought a umarex reck police today and on getting it home discovered that the decocking lever does not work.

In the manuel it says once the hammer is cocked (fig1). To decock or safe it use the decocking lever.
Push the decocking lever into the lower position as shown in figure 2. The hammer will be decocked and placed in the safety notch.

Now when i cock the hammer then push the decocking lever nothing happens.
But i have noticed that if you hold the decocking lever down then pull the trigger the hammer releases but stops short of the pin, then closes the rest of the way as you release the decocking lever.

There is no mention in the manuel about having to use the trigger whilst decocking.

    Please help.
    regards chip

Pete R has one of these, you could try PM-ing him.

Alternatively and for other members, the Reck Police is the latest incarnation of the RWS Sig Sauer 225, if anyone has one of those?

I have one of these pistols and you do not have to touch the trigger just pull down on the lever and it should decock, then the hammer jumps forward slightly but does not hit the pin.

    Thanks mate
The dealer told me that he thought you had to pull the trigger and this was lost in translation in the manuel.
And as he had no more in stock their was no way to check.
But he did say he would order me another.

The dealer ordered me in a new one which i picked up yesterday.
Got it home, pushed the lever to open the slide, it opened then wouldn't close, completely jammed up.

Took it back today and swapped it for a steel finish S&W 6"
Now going to see if i can get a 4" & 8" barrel for it.
