    Seals gone???

    me again......
my pistol is acting up again....
well, i put a co2 in, i shot about 9 shots and then loads of gas started coming out, so i dry fired about 5 times then the gas flow slowed to so i could just hear a slight hissing when i put my ear next to the co2 cart bit.

is this gonna be sticky valve seals gone or what...
by the way when the gas was majorly leaking out it was coming from barrel and mag loading bit.

    Make sure the end cap

which screws in the capsule is tight.

And always lube every 4th capsule head.
Just lighly lube it or it will gunk up the internals.

If lubing the next capsule and tightening the screw cap does not work, then you will have to replace the valve seal.

They should last a long time if you lube the capsules and don't leave the capsule in too long.
If you regurlarly leave it in for a week then this will drastically reduce the seal lifetime.

Altough the seals are dirt cheap, it is a hassle to replace them (asuming you can strip the gun apart), because you have to completely strip the gun.
This is the longest job in terms of time.

So take care of your seals or it will cost a lot in maintanence.

You can get pellgun oil from BAR

    http://www.airgunbuyer.com/ShowProdu...%20Accessories

The valve seal is part of the valve which the head of CO2 capsules press againt.

The seal is a round seal that is difficult to see.

You do have to take the valve out of the main tube to get it.

The screw cap is what you turn to press the capsule head tight against the valve seal.

If you don't push it tight enough the seal will not be good enough to maintain charge in the valve.

You should also use a drop of this pellgun oil on the oring

    every 250 or so.

If you don't know the oring is the small donut shaped seal on the bolt which you use to push a pellet into the gun.

This maintains the life of these too.

If you get a small blast of gas coming out of breech then it needs lubed.

These are general instructions for CO2 guns

I was not familiar the particular gun.

But on all single shot PCPs and CO2 you need to lube the orings.

All CO2 capsule guns have a valve seal.
So in this case single shot or automatics like yours still have a valve seal.

im really not sure whch valve seal is now, i hav a diagram for my gun (crosman 1008) but they have same part numbers, as thy are very ssimilar guns inside.
valve seal is lsted and shown as a part in in the valve whereas the seal that the co2 presses against is classed as the end seal, which one should i be buying here
