what sort of rest do you use?

I tried my hand at a bit of long range shooting today, the weather was dead still so i set a target at 100 yards and after a bit of scope adjustment i managed to get 2 shots bang on the cross and 3 more within an inch of the centre, out of 5 shots, so about 2" spread, i was sitting on a chair and using the back of another chair to rest my front hand on, what sort of rests do you use for this type of shooting? i dont think i could do any better the way i was doing it, but would like to improve.

I rest my gun on a open gloved hand on top of my shooting cushion.Thats the best result i get with both of my springers, with a pcp though i would just simply rest it directly on a shooting cushion.

Harris SR bipod with podlock so it stays just where i leave it. i have a CTK precision Monopod at the rear so as to finetune elevation. best setup i have found so far.

i am going to sound very cheap but 80-90% of the time i use my hand lol, regularly take rabbits at 80-100 meters away standing shots, i also do some deer stalking and i have shot deer freehand on numerous occasions.
    bi pod = weight
not convenient to pull out the shooting cusions when out in the field.

    That's roughly 88 - 110 yards standing

Your either a superhuman shot (which you might very well be) or your rangefinder is broken.

What FAC PCP rifle do you take these shots with?

This is the long range air rifle shooting section so I was somewhat sceptical of your claims if they were related to an air gun. Don't know much about .22 lr other than it's got a lot more uumph than even the most powerful available air rifles. Must be nice to have the power to reach out that far!

    Which hand do you use?
Do you employ the open handed slap technique, a full on rabbit punch or the knuckle rap sleeper tap?
Where do you leave your HW80 during all this?
