I never had any idea about CO2 Colts before (I'm mainly Beretta and MAK guy ), but after I've seen that picture from Umarex site, read description (yes, it has a metal frame and a metal slide) and watching this two videos:

Should help with the safety grip one handed.

just dont grip too high or you will get slide bite, or pretend slide bite if your just using the air pistol
