Picked up a new FX verminator this morning. I had to wait until this afternoon to try it out, Very nice so far, scope zero'd,good groups with AA field.
After i had finished shooting I grabbed my trusty oily rag and started wiping the barrel, This was when i noticed the marks were rust spots and not just one patch.
I don't think it's unreasonable to ring the shop tomorrow and ask to swop for a non rusty one?
My 7 year old AA410 i traded in had less marks on it!

You have to wait otherwise you will be given the one I returned to Deben a few days back.
It has a leaking valve. They say they can fix it in two minutes but I insist a brand new one. That's why I am waitting for the next despatch.
Can you please let me know the serial number on yours so that I won't get conned by the local shop or Deben?

Yes that's what the shop said. CH Weston have been very good about it, Ivan has offered to deliver a new one personally.
I bought a .22 and really wanted a .177, I can swop over when the new one comes. He also said please continue to use the gun, as it's not fair I be without while waiting for the replacement.
So i can try the .22 for a while and swop if i like, I don't even have to travel to the shop. So far I'm a happy customer

Called Deben this morning and was told that they got 1 or 2 vermi a few days back. I hope it's not the one I sent back they are talking about! !
There will be a new batch coming in two weeks time, I was told. But to be frank I don't trust the Deben Lady.
