    Unhappy Bert Brookes of Eley

I'm afraid that I have received word that Bert Brookes passed away last night. He will be sorely missed by both shooters and his colleagues at Eley, as will his comprehensive knowledge of ammunition.

For those who aren't aware, Bert ran the Customer Range at Eley's Birmingham factory. He was the public face when people went to batch-test ammunition, and was undoubtedly one of the leading experts on rimfire ammunition. http://www.eley.co.uk/customer-range.aspx

    RIP Bert.

Damn, I didn't know of the guy.

But from what you've posted I'm sure he will be sorely missed.

    Rest in peace

Agreed, never heard of him, which is sadly true of most of the shooting ambassadors.

He spent his life in shooting, for that alone he has my utmost respect!

    RIP
