    Sounds like a rifle 'anorak Adrian' might like to add to his collection.... a.k.a. draftsmann here on the BBS.

    Might be worth giving him a PM as I think he's travelling this week, but he is in the UK.

    The price you are after is (mostly likely) going to come from a collector, since buying this piece of history would seem like an investment opportunity, though Adrian does actually use the rifles in his collection IIRC.

    HTH.

    "Andrew anorak"? Yep, works for me.

    No sense of humour some people......

    Grammar sucks too......

    "Aren't you a bit old for name calling, Baldie?" Or;

    "Aren't you a bit old for calling someone else names, Baldie?"

    I'm unaware of an age-limit on 'gentle-humour'.

    Thanks for the PM wazb. Pricing "sleepers" is always difficult. An early Mercury will be the beech stock and will have a single stage trigger (not a bad trigger though) and breech "pin" instead of bolt. Not as desirable as a later "S" or the Challenger, which was the last of the Mercury range with improved trigger and scope rail IMHO.

    Nevertheless if it really is boxed and mint/unused with paperwork I'd say it would have to be good for £150 at least and possibly £180 to someone who really wants it.

    One of the nicest rifles ever made IMHO.

    And yes I am an anorak Geoffrey How are you getting on with the Stalker?

    Hi Adrian,

    Glad to see you're not getting upset about a compliment. [This is an Airgun Forum after all].

    Have a quick look here: (Posted today but on Page 3 already).
