Scope or Red Dot? Scopes are perfect for total precision shooting. A red dot has quicker target acquisition but, lacks the pin-point accuracy of a scope.
Scopes can sometimes exaggerate and wobble.

    Good luck with your choice,

    Phil

I emailed the manufacturers and they replied

" The mod. HW 45 "stainless look" with the number 364795was delivered in 1989. "

The Red Dot fitted on mine was advertised to fit 22 rim-fire and air guns, so I'm assuming it's 11mm

    Good luck, Phil

To be honest I just put it on, sighted it in and off yer go.

If it is 1mm or 2mm one-sided it does not show in the shooting results.

    Good luck, Phil

It wouldn't show provided you are shooting at the same distance it was zeroed at, but at a closer or further range it will shoot to one side or the other.
But at pistol ranges this may be minimal

I had the debate of what size mounts work best on a 45 not so long ago.
And in the end went for a Millet product (an american company) ordered by my local RFD through edgar brothers. Product code TP00010, these are actually Vertical Split .22 CAL. Aluminum Alloy Ringsfor rim fire mounts but work perfectly due to the depth of 45 scope rail being very deep. on recomendation i stuck some electrical tape to the inside of the mounts first, whether this makes any difference i dont know.

I payed £21 for these which is consideretly more than they sell for in america.
By the way these are 30mm mounts.
If you find my original post you will find which ones were recomended for 25mm,
