TX 200 top hat, length problem.

Just tried fitting a Bonnie&Clyde kit into a TX mk3 and it wouldn't cock.
No washers installed. I think its the tophat on compression.
The original tophat will not fit inside the coils. So I measured up the tophats to see a difference of -1.2mm on diameter and +4mm on the length of the B&C tophat.
IF I just trim it down by the 4mm and re-install do you think that should cure it.
I'm at work in the morning for a few hours and could easily trim it.

    Bonnie & clyde TX200 kit

Sorry i can't be of any help but i think 'Andrew richards' had the same problem with his B & C kit for a mk3. I have yet to fit mine so would be interested in responses as well.

    tx200

    hi paul,

im no expert but IMO the length of the rear guide is probably the culprit, i experimented with a thin fibre washer between the trigger block and the rear guide (to cushion it upon firing and to lessen recoil) and found that the 1.5 mm thickness of this stopped the rifle cocking and dumped that idea.......have you measured the rear spring guide length against the OE one??????

this is by-no-means definitive but is worth checking

    Thanks Dave of B&C.
Will trim and fit, not a problem to do. Just wanted to make sure I was going in the right direction for curing the cocking.

    Paul.

Ps Thanks to the others for their input.
