A 'pump' for a classic Japanese rifle and, IMO the best pump up rifle ever produced.

These can be made quite easily. 16mm barrel IIRC. DM80 could knock a silencer adaptor up to the usual 1/2 UNF thread.

Ha ha, Thanks for that mate, Its not, ( Obviously my opinion ) And I.J does know his stuff. However I disagree with his comment on the diana/Original 35,
I had a number of springers stored in my airing cupboard,All with leather piston washers After a year or two the leather piston washers dry out.

I use a mix of engine oil, & Ptfe oil or molyslip , They need to be stood on
their butts & rotated, This will give them a new lease of life, After all, Cardew told us ( and proved by using Nitrogen gas, instead of air ) Nitrogen gas does not support combustion, Hence the drop in power, that without some dieselling, we will be down by at least 30%
I am not talking here of using combustion to increase power, But to maintain the gun, ( Or enhance it a little with modern lubricants ) A lot of the early guns needed help ?
I mentioned in the Original 35 thread, I have a 35 S, Yes, A big gun, It was subject to Ether injection, The total damage was, Nil,This was after a number of years at probably 10 times its design pressure,

To get back to the " Pump Ups " yes the Ace is up there, But is it better than a Innova, ( Yes , Its better made, Will last forever ) More power per pump, But !!! The Innova is very light, Sheridan ( Thumber ) I have to rate this one in the top 3, Its .20 ( Again in my opinion ) the best calibre, Especially with the 16 grain, Bullet shaped Sheridan slugs, 12 Fpe on 5 pumps , Almost 18 on 8 ?
Setra, Not as well made as the Sheridan, BUT, Its in .22 IE more power ( more even than the Ace ) per pump, As it has a bigger cylinder,
Another point not mentioned, Is the Extra trigger pull weight required on the Sharps, This is not true of the Sheridan or Setra.
Then their is the Crossman 140 series, ( Guns of my youth )
When I got my hands on my 1st Pumper in the 1960,s That put the springers on the BACK burner Ha ha,
Best of luck with the sale mate, I have never sold an Ace under £200, & with the modern junk & prices, Its a snip ( If you get desperate buy or swap it )
    Sorry for the thread Hi-Jack

    Cheers, Ged.

Thank you for your kind comment Ged. Praise indeed.

However I disagree with his comment
As is yours and everyone prerogative

    on the diana/Original 35,
I had a number of springers stored in my airing cupboard,
'Airing cupboard'? Possibly too dry an atmosphere?

All with leather piston washers After a year or two the leather piston washers dry out.

Wasn't there a report somewhere of the Weihrauch Barrakuda (the HW ether injected model 35) that broke its main spring regularly under 100 shots!

, Is the Extra trigger pull weight required on the Sharps, This is not true of the Sheridan or Setra.
I will conceed that one. One of the draw backs of the Innova/Ace but not of the Pan target or Victory.

    Sorry for the thread Hi-Jack

    And so am I.

    Cheers, Ged.
Again, good luck with the sale.
