    Question weihrauch springs

Hi Guys, just strpped a hw 80 and found the spring to have 33coils, then compared it to a hw77 spring that came out of a project i have and found its spring to have 41 coils, just wondering if the 77 should be longer than the 80, any veiws would be greatly received?

Sometimes the 80 springs will have less coils but the coils ie. coil material, may be thicker?
I have never really understood why there is so much concern in the number of coils in a spring? as long as the spring powers the rifle (within your power limit of course) and dosent bind when cocking....all is well!

you might find the 80 spring can catch the inside of the 77's piston as the piston on a 77 is a smaller inner diameter, therefore a 77 spring on an 80 could be slack within the piston, not that that would matter of course

it can all be a bit confusing
