    Sterling Hr81

    Hi,

If i owned one of these rifles, how would i mount a scope?

My dad used to have one but i can't remember how his scope was mounted as i don't think they had dovetail rails did they?

    Thanks

Both the HR81 and HR83 have scope grooves cut into the bolt-housing. I think they are standard 11mm grooves with some holes for an arrestor stud, so there is no problem in mounting a scope, other than increasing the top-heaviness of this ingenious but flawed design.
