Assuming you are talking about a Smith & Wesson revolver - yes I think it would look odd

I've got a blued and a nickel in 6" & just tried to imagine what your would look like.

    My 2pennorth anyway !

    Cheers

It would look stupid, the 6" barrel is the best of the 3 anyway so why would you want to change it.

I'm not sure I understand the question. I have a 6" nickel version, and I know they make a blued steel version, but didn't know they made one in stainless.

    Stainless looks better than nickel.

Nickel is generally used as a base coat for chrome and is not as hard wearing. It gives the metalwork a warmer shine to it. Would look outdated. Chrome if you wanted it non stainless.
I'm in the process of stripping and chroming mine from black. If you've not done this before be warned that you'll change tolerances and need spares! I'd probably have a go at fitting iron sites, making a front steel blade with fibre optic insert (red or green) and polishing the blacking off the mag (don't interfere with the teeth) and then linishing outer (brush finish) to match the rest of the gun. My advice would be this (it's what I'm doing). I've had mine laser engraved with the logo and smith and wesson etc priot to chroming, also adding smith and wesson medalions to the grips (8mm diameter). (Sorry for the constant use of brackets )

    Regards

I think the so called stainless Umarex S & W was just just plated in a different compound and then mirror polished to look like stainless?

Beautiful! Wish I had two: one to shoot, one to put away as a collector's item.
