HW80 age???

Ive just collected an early .177 hw80 and i was wondering if anyone could help me with an approximate age as ive never seen one like this?? It is stamped made in germany, has a square fore end to the stock, the hw80 stamping is slightly slanting and theres a gb badge in a circle. On the other side of the barrel breech it has weihrauch and something in german in the sausage? It also came with an original model 20 2.5x32 scope that looks from the same era. any help much appreciated, thanks john

hi, if its a mk1 then it will only have two arrestor pin holes in the rear of the cylinder , later ones had three,
if my memories still working ( i have the flu ) then the mk1 was only around for about three years before the mk 2 , that was 1981-1984, ish
as for weihrauch charging money for repling to emails about date manufactured,, never heard of that and they never have with me ??

Ive never heard or been charged by Weihrauch for providing info. In fact, unless your name is Ray (RAYGUN), you may get some freebies.

I bought a 98 recently and sent e-mail to find out year and for hand book
2 days later had e-mail saying year was 2007.
1week later hand book came from germany all free with no charge
could it be you was asking about more than one gun or they
thought you were after info on more than 1 gun.
IE "please send gun numbers" rather than send gun number.

I have sent several e-mails to Weihrauch,normally i always got the answer. But the last few years they dont give me the information i want. I'm not the only one, several people i know are getting this e-mail after asking the age,just fore 1 gun...

Seems to be that the answer 'first €15' is about +- 50% of the emails, I dont get it, a few days ago Weihrauch has send a cap,a few stickers,badges,etc to a acquaintance. 4-free.... How tuff would it be to search the weihrauch database?
