    Smile SHOES

any advice?, having returned to match air pistol shooting in old age I am rather unstable, would like the corami shoes but cannot afford them and cannot wear a boot due to achilles tendon failure, many thanks and a Merry Xmas to you all. Derek

been looking myself, and cannot justify spending £150 ish!
sauer seem to be a popular make, there are a couple of others if you trawl the web sites, but i would rather try before i laid out that sort of cash!
boots,i think, are not allowed. the ankle must not be covered.
personnaly i use a pair of cycling specific trainers.they have a wide, flat reinforced sole and minimum flex.
    steyr lp5,steyr lp10,hw77k,bsa buccaneer .177,bsa scorpion .177,original 6g
    happy with my lot!

As a Pistol shooter, I looked into the specialised shoes available and was put off but the cost at over £100 for what appears to be a trainer with a dead flat sole and decent instep support.

There are quite a few flat-soled trainer shoes available form large sports stores such as JJB Sports, which are suede, finished and fit the bill nicely.
The range they stock is amazing and there are a selection of suitable shoes available at around £35 which would be suitable.
    Make every shot count.

I agree with above , find a pair of good quality supportive comfy trainers with flat soles , although www.edinkillie.co.uk have a bit of a sale with Coramis now only £117
