Working is customer service as I do I have a certain expectation. That expectation is to know the truth and to be told it in a timely manner. I also realise that not everybody is flush and a bargain may be the only way some can afford to shop, but here are my guidelines for shopping.
1. Support your local shop. This is not meant to be a dig at BAR / JSR or anybody else, but your local guy is the one you can go to for the small items. If he is gone the saving you made on the one ourchase may well soon be lost due to postage in future
2. Internet shop carefully. I will NEVER again buy from a shop without a telephone number and address. I will ALWAYS make a call to ensure that the shop provides good comms. I have always bought my airgun stuff from my local shop and BAR. I'm not saying BAR are the best but I'm sure there are none better, and having had this experience I did my Christmas shopping on the net. This has been a mixture, because where I have gone for the cheapest shop they all have e-mail address only, and that has been a 'mare! Packages not arrived, followed by no replies to my mails.
I will NEVER buy from a shop like this again. No phone, no address, no Cooper business. In future I'll pay the extra.
Just my thoughts.
If you can't get behind our troops stand in front of them..

Aren't on line sellers required by law to provide an address and land line?
It's a good way to spot a proper robber if they don't have contact details, anyway. Lots still try it on.
Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property... Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them.
Knockover targets stripped of paint, contact driver for details...
Thanks Matt, ,that took less time than trawling throught the multitude of pages on Evilbay.

Couldn't agree more, Gary.
I'm currently having a 'mare with a fleabay seller who doesn't reply to emails and, although their site does have a phone number, they don't answer that either.
I just wish I'd found that out before I ordered from them.
I'll be sticking to tried and tested E-Sellers or shopping locally in future - even bargains aren't worth the aggro when something goes wrong.

all scams are based on greed and the old saying if it sounds to good to be true is spot on your own greed for that super deal blinds your common sense and i bet if we were 110% honest we have all fallen for one in our life times if not beware you will

Having used internet shopping facilities for close on 10 years, I have been fortunate in that very few problems have arisen.
I have purchased items online costing from a few £'s to several hundred £'s, and always make sure the seller is contactable before any purchase takes place.
Some items offered for what seem ridiculously cheap prices, are not always too good to be true, but checking before buying is well worth while.
I have recently found 2 items I was considering purchasing, for prices far below the majority of online retailers.
The first item was a genuine bargain, and the second would appear to be the same, although I haven't yet purchased it, as it is being offered by what would appear to be a UK company, but is in fact based in California.
They have told me the Panasonic camera on offer is a US model, therefore presumably shipped from the US, but they say there will be no additional UK taxes to pay.![]()
