    Magazine Fed Pistols?

    Hey again guys,

I've noticed that some models have a sort of Revolver loading system, where you insert a circular "thing" (forgive me for not knowing the correct term).

Does anybody know any decent magazine fed Co2 models?

    Ben

Good question, Ben. I always called that thing the cylinder, but I'm not sure that's correct for air pistols.

I'm also not sure that, given the pellet shape, and the low power level of air pistols, there'd be sufficient recoil or gas pressure to work a cartridge-gun type of mechanism, that would reload a chamber and cock a hammer.

At least, there's be no need to eject an empty cartridge casing.

    Cheers!

    Welcome Ben,

There are a number of magazine fed pistols on the market.
    The circular "things" are magazines

Things such as the Skif's are what your thinking of.
Many BB pistols have the mags in the pistol grip. There are hop up and belt fed mags available. Many are notoriously unreliable

What style you looking for, Colt, Beretta, Sig, Glock?

Do these magazine-fed pistols work with waisted pellets, Tony, or just round BBs?

The Skif's etc can hold 28 shots (I think) can use any pellet or bb or mixture

The Umarex Range of pistols are all reliable, well designed and accurate 8 shot repeaters and are copies of a whole range of modern handguns. You may want to do a bit of googling. The Makarov has its place as a gun that is made from 90% real components but the shooting experience is not that great.

I've never owned a Skif but it doesn't have a very good reputation for reliability reading through the threads.

Yes, Napoleon, that's the trouble with a lot of this stuff: it sounds good in theory but it doesn't deliver in practice.

Not strictly magazine-fed, but it does have a magazine which loads in the usual way inside the handgrip and will give you 16 shots: Beretta PX4 Storm

    Nice, isn't it?

In a blowbacky way, of course; not much use for the monthly comps, and it'd seriously disadvantage you in the PPC shoots.

Still looks like too much fun though, doesn't it?

Sorry fella, I shouldn't be giving you ideas - Leslie will hate me!

Take it carefully with the Storm if I may advise. They are a POS in terms of build; plastic not so fantastic.
Quite a few parts like slide release were simply there for decoration, it was rickety too.
