The best FT rifle on a budget is (IMO) the Pro Target.

I have seen them for sale at £350 but expect to pay around £400 for one.

Excellent stock, trigger and regulator (just make sure the reg is a 7 banded mk3)

There was an RN10 with a MK3 reg for sale on the AAOC site recently for around £400 , might be worth a look

the RN10 was the model number which picked up a nick name rite nasty, they then become the pro target which the only good version where the mk3 with the rings around the reg the aaoc is the air arms owners club

The RN10/Pro Target is a now discontinued rifle design from Air Arms that was developed into the EV2 that you will see a great deal of on the FT circuit, both designs share a lot of commonalities & if you can't afford the £900 or so for the EV2 Mk2 than the PT is a very good alternative at about half the price.
The big development in the life of the RN10/PT was the regulator so what ever model you find try & make sure it has the Mk3 reg.
It is a truely ambidextrous action, southpaws only needing to change stocks.

About the top and bottom of it, Also a lot of the nice EV2 bits go pretty much straight onto the PT, so much so i'm running a RN10 Mk2 with a Mk3 regulator in an EV2 Mk2 stock and ironwork, and tbh its 4/5th's of an EV2 for a lot less than £900+!
