    Optisan 600 Rangefinder.

Haven't done any reviews before...so be gentle!

I bought the 'optisan strike inno laser rangefinder 600' (To give it's full name) just before xmas.

I am very impressed, the 'Strike' is robust looking with a green 'rubber feel' coating.
Very simple to use, infact the only thing i did was change the setting from metres to yards by holding down the Mode button for 3 seconds.

Every object i have 'pinged' either in the field or up the club, has registered immediately!

The accuracy is spot on right down to 5yds

With the rangefinder comes a really nice, strong green hard case, that fits on your belt loop.
It has a double zip to access the rangefinder from the top, which opens up to 45 degrees where it is held there with two retaining straps, ready for you to return it.

There is a very simple 'aiming point' consisting of a horizontal line with a small box in the centre, then a another small line going vertically down..(Creating a 'T')..very simple and effective.

When the unit is operated a lightning symbol flashes up in the corner to make you aware that the laser is on, There is a scan facility which is operated by holding down the power button.

The laser will turn off after 20 secs to conserve power.

This is the lightest laser i have ever held, with batteries in it weighs a meagre 6oz.
I found that the laser is excellent as a spotting scope, with 6x mag and VERY clear optics, i had no trouble spotting quarry out in the field.

    The unit measures 100mm x 70mm x 40mm
    The objective is 24mm
    LED Display
The price is £135.00 and in my opinion worth every penny.
Link to MTC Optics as requested.
There is an extra facility on the unit, it is a speed camera!...not sure what use this will be, but it is there all the same.

One word of warning, when you get your rangefinder, the second you touch the instructions, they will fall apart!
luckily there is not much to remember as it is all automatic!

    Mike.

    range finder

after recently purchaseing one of these myself i am more than happy with the units performance.
it does exactly what it says on the tin.
pinging rabbits and crows out to hmr range with great repeatable accuracy.
a nice little unit for the price.

Just an update on the Rangefinder....Still working spot on
The rangefinder is perfect for all my needs and has been through some rough times in the last few months!
    Highly Recommended.
(Just thought it would be helpful to show a progress report)
