I've a S&W 586-6 and at last it looks like I can put it to good use.

Ah, another Smith man! Mike145 shoots one, I do too: PhilG shoots one like a Master! (Well, he is!). And my wife practiced with mine the other day and prefers it to her Crosman .357.

You're certainly not too late! You have until midnight on the 18th (your midnight or mine, whichever comes later) to submit scores.

Check us out on our "January Police Pistol" thread. And, welcome to the UBC!

Thanks for the quick reply Jim,

Hope this doesn't seem a daft question but I take it you change the target before each shooting each section

So just going over a quick checklist:

S&W 586 - (will be iron sights for this month) - check
    1 -10 shot magazine - Check (hmm better get a pack 3)
    Stopwatch - check
    Tape measure - check
Suitable target holder & decent card to print target - check
Oh yeah and a tin of RWS Hobby wadcutters - check

I think that's about all I'll need - hope I've not forgotten something If you hear reports of a naked man shooting at ten to midnight Sunday night - don't be alarmed

Hi Swiftnbold, welcome to BBS. I would encourage you to enter the PP1 comp. Don't feel intimidated or feel you might not be good enough. We all need a bench make to start and go forward from there.

So pin up that target and get your scores off to Jim, I promise you it's good fun.

    Good luck, Phil

    Good luck

    GOT 'em, Tony!

That's six for the main match so far.

Only two so far for the side match, though.

Was hoping to do mine today Jim, sadly I dare not venture more than 15 feet from the John

Starving myself today and hopefully be better tomorrow

In the meantime, just printed off the PP targets onto cheapy Photo paper as it gives cleaner holes

Just hope it remains fairly warm

What do you think of the targets I sent?

Sounds like you have it all. Swift. We're pretty informal. As you indicated, even clothing is optional!

Since Stage 1 last only one minute, to raise, aim, fire (6 times), reload (either by inserting a fresh cylinder/magazine or by manually reloading the one you just removed). I don't bother to change the target her: for Stage 1, the same target ends up with 12 holes.

For Stage 2, since there's a complete stop and "stage change", off the clock, I like to mount a frsh target for each 6-shot phase.

    Then a 4th target, for Stage 3.

Take it easy today and recuperate, Tony.

I received an e-message from you about targets, but there was no attachment.

    Hmmmm...

My tummy has been a bit off and my bottom a little squiffy for a few days. Come to think of it, it started around the time you emailed me my January UBC comp certificates, Tony...

...Maybe you've given me and Crabbet an email virus?

Scores about to be submitted by the way, James. Sorry, but I completely forgot about the sideshoot.

If I get the time tomorrow, I'll have a do at it.

    All best,

    Mike.
