As you are in the air pistol section I assume you are talking about air pistols. Most air pistols Co2 or air will reach 25 metres - eventually. However really only Match airpistols will acheive any accuracy sufficient to be competitive. CO2 lookalikes and springer air pistols usually have an awful trigger which rather prevents them from being accurate enough. We regularly use precharged match air pistols at 25 metres in the local county championships and achieve at least as good scores as we used to with .22 rimfire pistols.
You do need a quality bit of kit however in the Steyr, Feinwerkbau, Walther, Morini, SAM, FAS just to name a few class. Expect to spend £800 or about £500 for a decent second hand one. If you wish to shoot Standard, Sport or Rapid Fire pistol you will need a five shot like a Steyr LP50.
