Thumbs up Webley Senior stripdown guide please

    Hi all
I have acquired a Webley Senior .22 today after a long wait since my Dad made me take it back to the shop 40 odd years ago

Now I am old too I can do what I like so I bought a 1958 to 64 one today.

It is smoking a lot ( please don't offer any Nicorettes) so I think a full stripdown and relube is in order.

Has any kind BBSer got a scan of the Phil Bulmer strip in AGW a few years back? A copy would be much appreciated please.

Any other advice would also be very weicome too.

    Many thanks

    Rog

Hi Rog - it's super easy, when you have done it once they can be stripped in a couple of minutes. For the last couple of turns when removing the front section a good tip is to hold a thick cloth in your left hand, push the front of the pistol into this and turn the whole gun pushing against your hand to remove the final few turns. Reverse this process to re-install against the spring pressure.

And don't forget to pull the trigger to allow the piston to be removed.

I have the Bulmer scans - please email me (see profile) and I will send them right away.
