The Cattleman - is that actually a cap and ball revolver then? I looked on Uberti's site and it seemed to be pictured loaded with cartridges.

Yes but apart from that, Mrs Lincoln, what did you think of the performance?

    Hi Lee
Still happy with the cattleman, no problems there. That now means my missus has now got two .44s on here ticket now with no problems from the police.
Started working on converting it to shotgun primer/ nitro powder last night.
Got the back plate 3/4 done but not completely happy as I took a bit too much metal off top and bottom and its not quite as tight a fit as I would like but I'll carry on and see how it turns out. Havent done anything to the cylinder yet.
Going to the range tonight to show it off to the mates down there.
Good to meet up Sunday and welcome to the forum, can recommend dealing with Lee good man to buy from.
    Peter

Off the original topic but where did you get the gun rig in your pics, looks good.
All types, all sizes, high quality and available to order in the UK here: www.escortgunleather.com . Worth paying the small extra for 'ageing' and if you have an 'unusual' pistol (Rogers & Spencer etc) they can make to fit. Superb company to deal with and based in Benfleet.
