    Tune a HW45

    Hi I got a HW45 .22 brand new, Im wondering if there is something that you should do to this gun for maintaining performance? Havnt found so much on the net.

    Yes, shoot it and smileshoot it and smileshoot it and smileshoot it and smileshoot it and smile.

    Just get used to handling it, shoot it and use the right grip. Let it sit gently in your hand, don't grip it firmly or it'll fire all over the place. It will take a tin or two to settle down.

    Getting the sight picture is very important.
    Try to get to the point where you can stand in front of a target with the gun in you hand turn your head away, raise the gun up to target and then turn your head back to the sights and the gun's in the right position.

    You've got one real fine pistol there. Persevere and it will serve you well.

    There may be times when you can't hit a barn door with it, we all get those days.

    Thanks Phil, it is a real nice pistol. Found the page by Teed Cooper, good information there about the HW45.
