    Gun sling

Recently the weight of my hw90 has been getting to me, leaving my arms like rubber after carrying it through the fields where i shoot, so ive been thinking about a sling.

Has anyone had any experiences with slings, how do they attach to the rifle? Ive been looking at them on ####, are there any slings you can recommend?

I've had a leather plaited gun sling fitted to my HW90K, along with QD swivels, since it was bought new from BAR, sometime in the 90's. Works a treat and looks nice too.

    sling

I put a wide camo elasticated sling on my HW97k for the same reason, heavy gun to walk the fields with. I bought a pair of screw in mounts which needed to drill into the stock to fit from fleabay. Very easily done in the end as long as you don't mind putting holes in your stock.

Definitely the way to go, I can handle my 97k for quite a long time, but having a sling is a no-brainer really, a lot more sensible climbing or descending slopes with two free hands than having to carry the rifle all the time.

There really is an endless list of differing types of sling on the market, it all depends on what you would like, plaited leather slings as northern35 said look very nice, personally I have Camo'd neoprene type slings on all my rifles (apart from the S200 still undecided about drilling that Ginb ) not so much for the camo effect but they are quite wide, which adds to the comfort level.
Also because it is neoprene (at least thats what i think it is ), it sort of stretches a little while your walking on the ol' lumpy stuff which takes some of the jolts away.
