ok have i got a funny couple of stocks then?

both my stocks, all i had to do was remove the one hex bolt on the underside near the pressure gauge. was a two second job and trigger guard popped out the hole in the wood still fixed to the action.

The 400 series use a single M6 hex head bolt to attach the stock to the action. The trigger guard does not need to be removed in order to take the stock off.

Same here, just undo the single hex bolt and action and trigger come out together.

Just to echo this but mine is absolutely brand spanking new.
Leave the trigger guard well alone. The single hex bolt is all it takes.

What sort of S410 have you got?

All the S300/310 and S400/410 the stock comes off by the hex bolt on the under side of the rifle.

My S410 is the same as the three previous replies, a single hex bolt near the pressure gauge. It is the easiest stock to remove of any gun I have owned.

S410 abou 3 years old.I undid the screw & the bolt like the fool I am so the trigger guard came out.when I put it back together it wouldn't cock. Then I found the little spring on the floor put it back in & every thing was ok.Steve

    Sign... an explanation....

Yep, there is a large single allen bolt holding the stock on - I assumed this had already been removed as it's somewhat obvious.

On some 400/410s, however, they are still very tight to remove (like one of mine), 'cos they are stuck on the trigger guard, hence my post.....
