    Question new airgun maintenance

    Hi i have just bought an s-400 yesterday and it arived in a lovely brand new condition. I wanna keep it like this. What should i be doing to maintain it. ?

    dont take it hunting just make sure you give it a wipe down every time you touch it,salty fingers are a no no,never leave it in a gun bag if its been out in the cold or wet,give it a wipe down with an oily rag.

    If you bought it brand new, give the barrel a good clean with a pull through (manufacturers grease it to prevet rust).
    They said you can't polish sh*t.. well mine's chrome plated

    make sure its not underpowered or leaking

    Hmmm? That migh explain the low power on my new HW45.

    as kev said, a good rub with an oily rag mmmmm
    the bluing on aa guns doesnt seem as good or deep if thats the right word as some others, mine is oiled after every outing.
    i use shot gun oil sprayed on a rag or parkerhale gun oil again on a rag, take the action out of the stock if it gets wet as the water sits in there and can mess things up big time.
