    Ratcatcher Advice Please

I am buying a second hand Ratcatcer this weekend from a mate, I need I believe Problox ? to be able to mount a scope, my questions are.

Do the Problox fix to the barrel, dull question but how else can they

has anyone out there got any they want to sell.

Is the standard gun threaded for a silencer, if so what can I fit.

The stock seems to be a bit long for my daughter, has anyone shortened theirs.

Yep needs blocks, but you can get loads of custom stuff. The barrel blocks are not great.

no you have to get an adapter.

T.R. robb does them, but you will never get a refund if its faulty, or not the right thing. Try to buy off here.

Not sure about the rest, but its a good little gun. Just sold one.

    shortening the stock

I got one for my 5 year old boy to shoot this Christmas, i got some Bits of S&D custom. I have shortened the stock as it was far to long for him, it was easy enough you need a hack saw, hand drill, 3+8 mill drill bits, a file/grinding wheel and a section of 8mm stainless rod. (I did it with 10mm but 8mm would have been better).

I did it by cutting the stock at about the half way mark and taping the butt back on until I found the length that worked for him.
Then I cut out the unneeded section from the Butt end and drilled into the plastic first with a 3mm pilot and then the 8mm about 5 cm and inserted a steel pin, do the same at the other end, I did it all by eye in a vice and the result was fine.
I will post a picture next week.
Note: - I did not glue the stock together as the butt section is wider then the forward section when cut, this means that the spring effect will hold it in place. It also means that as he grows I can add longer rods to extend the stock.

I will be using a similar method to raise the comb of the stock, I suggest that you do the same as they struggle to get a good head position otherwise.

I have a set of problocks you can have for free, but my advice would be to get a new breech as they are wortth their weight.

There is even a section on modified stocks, I know, I've posted some pics of the one I made for my eight year old son.
