February Police Pistol Competition (PPC) and Side Match

That time is coming up soon!

February's PPC comp starts next Saturday (14 February) and runs through 22 February. Please check the UBC Sticky for targets and rules, and to see who's where on the Leader Board. BUT, new entrants are welcome to start at any time.

Our SIDE MATCH this time is going to test what would happen if you had to shoot one-handed as well as two.

SO....starting with the pistol held in both hands, and lowered at a 45 degree angle, GO! You have 30 seconds to:

    - fire 1 shot two-handed

    - switch to right hand only, and fire 2 shots

    - switch to left hand only, and fire 2 shots

    - switch back to two-handed, and fire 1 shot.

Simple? Yes. Easy? Well, let's see...

    Good luck, and good shooting!

    Jim

    Hi Jim,

Hoping to use the PT80 this time
Got a trigger sent to me from a very kind person in Birmingham

Got it installed, but having problems with the return of the trigger once fired its sticking

Hope I can sort it out before the comp or its back to the 357 My barrel on that now has a bit of a droop so need to shimm the catch a bit.

    Take care

Yes, I daresay that few of us realize just how bad we are with our weak hand (which for me - Jan also - is the right hand).

No: same target (as last month as as Main Match) but the format is...

... you have 30 seconds to...fire one shot two handed: switch to right hand only, and fire two shots: switch to left hand only, and fire two more shots: switch back to two hands, and fire 6th and final shot.
