    Smith & Wesson Air pistols

    Hi All,
I was just wondering if the Smith & Wesson 6" barrel C02 pilsols are any good. Anyone tried one I was thinking about getting one ?

    Regards

    Yes they are great!

I have two 6" versions (most accurate size and balance) and believe they are the best multi Co2 pistol on the market.

Well looks like I will be out buying one tomorrow. It will be intresting to shoot something that doesnt have a wrist brace and a foot of barrel. I have quite a few C02 bulbs left from when I had a Skiff. I take it they use the same size C02 things?

Absolute yes! Same dimensions and weight as the cartridge pistol. Points perfectly. Mine shoots EXACTLY where I aim it, at six yards. (Now, I'm not saying that I do!)

Very pleased with the one I got on here, which is the 3-barrel set jobby. It does seem to have a bit of extra poke with the 8" barrel although I usually stick with the 6". In the summer I get about 7-8 mags worth out of a CO2 but at this time of year it is a lot less. The gun will hit a 45mm disk every time at 10 yards if I compensate for the varying power at the start and end of the CO2 capsule.

Cheers for the advise but 8" barrel is a bit long. I already have 2 center fire 12" barrel LBR for PP1 and Gallery. I'm going to get the 6" version. Im only getting it for plinking and the occasional bit of paper punching. Havent had an airgun in a while

My 686 has a 6 inch barrel, and I really wouldn't want anything longer. It weighs 44 ounces (I don't do metric) and while that's not bad for a 2-hand hold, it's a whopper for 1-hand.

AND, I'm sure that lots of mates are going to have fun with this post!
