    For those wanting .22 (and .177 for that matter) I have Excel charts for both calibres ... not sure where they came from but my file is dated 2013. I did laminate copies and find them very useful.
    If you want copy/copies just let me know by PM. I apologise in advance to Neil because I could not open his download photobucket file so do not know if my files are the same or not . Pellet weight vs velocity for range of weights and ft.sec giving ftlb.

    Very kind, thank you very much for that. What the charts clearly show is that it doesn't take much at all to exceed the 12ft lb limits. Just a few feet per second will take you over.

    Energy Nomogram pdf

    'Morning All,

    I thought this might be useful as an alternative to tables.

    Print the file then just place a rule on the outer pellet weight and velocity scales then read off the energy on the middle scale; the dotted line shows an example.
