For those wanting .22 (and .177 for that matter) I have Excel charts for both calibres ... not sure where they came from but my file is dated 2013. I did laminate copies and find them very useful.
If you want copy/copies just let me know by PM. I apologise in advance to Neil because I could not open his download photobucket file so do not know if my files are the same or not . Pellet weight vs velocity for range of weights and ft.sec giving ftlb.
Cheers, Phil
This is a really easy site to use, https://airguncalculator.com/
Spent 10 mins this morning with the laptop over breakfast knocking these up:
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Brilliant 👍🏻👌
Very kind, thank you very much for that. What the charts clearly show is that it doesn't take much at all to exceed the 12ft lb limits. Just a few feet per second will take you over.
An Emergency on your part doesn't necessarily mean an Emergency on my part!
'Morning All,
I thought this might be useful as an alternative to tables.
Print the file then just place a rule on the outer pellet weight and velocity scales then read off the energy on the middle scale; the dotted line shows an example.
Best Regards,
Bill.
