    .177 pellets

Which are the hardest hitting .177 pellets?
What are preferences on the best .177 hunting pellets?
    Sorry for all the questions.

    PCP use - Bisley Magnums.
The most accurate pellet should be your first choice though!

    Thumbs up .177 pellets

in my opinion the hardest hitting 177 pellets are the heaviest.
ie bisley magnums and h/n barracuda .
the heavier the pellet the more energy it retains down range
although with legal limit rifles you get a slightly more looped
trajectory. but saying that velocity should still be way above a .22
at about 720 fps for a 10.5 gr pellet

    best regards

From countless chrono tests the best .177 for energy retention is the JSB exact aka Daystate FT.
The quarry won't give a stuff what pellet hits it. A roundhead will always be best for general work. Use the most accurate pellet in your gun. Power is nothing without control.

I use JSB exacts 4.52 ,and I can't fault them.Shot a woody and a magpie for the ferrets on sunday morning (4:15-7:30 yaawwnn) the first kills using my new pellets and the thud when they hit,you just new that the birds were dead before they fell out of the tree.

BTW the first magpie with my gun,I have had it for over a year.

I can truely say that these Exterminators are excellent for penetration, they are unbelievable. If the exterminators don't suit you try the Dynamic Terminator 2, when you hit anything with these pellets, the pellets stay in the same shape- indestructable.

Im hoping I'm going to use the pellets for field target uses

I used Exterminators in my Superten for quite a while at 12fpe.
They shot excellent and didn't cause any damage to magazine.
Correct me if im wrong but I think BSA make the internal barrel for the daystate magazines. I don't know whether things have changed now we have the rls of the X2.

    Dave.
They said you can't polish sh*t.. well mine's chrome plated
