    webley premier

hi, an elderly friend of mine has asked me to renew the spring and washer on a blued .22 premier as he thinks its down on power .before it did anything to it i chronoed it today at 350fps with accupels.. is this low, if so what should i expect to get out of it with new spring and washer ?i am reluctant to strip it down unless i have to as it is completely as new ,a real minter[wish it was mine] ..thanks in advance ..greasemonkey

The Webley Premier was never intended to be a 6 ftlb pistol. From Gordon Bruce's book about 310fps was typical for a Premier in 22 (although the weight of the pellet was not stated in the test), so from that I would say your friends Premier is fine.

    Agreed

310 to 330 ft/sec is the norm so your friends pistol is fine
