    C225 front sight home made

    Hi All,

I recieved a set of adjustable rear sights for my birthday, sadly I could`nt get the 225 ones, instead I got the Beretta ones. I decided to make my own front sight as I`d made one for my Brocock me38 and that turned out ok.

I got a lump of aircraft grade ally from work and using hacksaw, files and digital micrometer cut away the bits that did`nt look like a sight. I filed a little too much off the blade so I decided to put the red piece on the top.

In the first pics the sight is in `the white`, the red plastic top is quite rounded, I did this to give me something to work with. I painted the finished sight with standard model paint.

Adjusted the rear to give me some adjustment and filed the front to minimum hight, also gave a better shape. I`m getting tighter groups now, just need to get them into the center.

Thanks for reading, I got so much more enjoyment from making the front sight rather than just replacing it.

    Regards

Thanks for the comments guys, they have made a difference to my scores.
I`ve had to adjust my point of aim slightly as i`ve set them up like my target pistol (aim for bottom of black) so I`m aiming slightly lower than before, still gives me an excuse to practice more

    regards
