The stock fits my action perfectly. Very pleased with it.

I will probably refinish it, as suggested, as there is some nice figuring to the walnut that should come up well with a bit of elbow grease, a wax and polish.

The refinished stock came up very well. I removed all the old finish, stained it American walnut and then just polished it up on the drill press, with just a little wax finish to the wood
Some very nice markings/tiger striping shows up and I have added a bit of bling to this one (against the collectors code) but it looks and shoots well (although a bit pellet fussy)

Lovely looking rifle there John, and I love the polished alloy bling . On the subject of the polished alloy bling, a 2mm thick polished alloy spacer between the recoil pad and stock would set it off a treat imo, and make it look even sexier (only a thought -- maybe I should get out more ).
