Hi
Have just got a 2nd hand .177 Pro Sport which I plan to put my Viper 10X44 scope on, realistically could I compete in HFT using the springer, or is using my Daystate X2 the only way to be competitive (which at the moment I am not with any rifle!)?
Thanks

Go ahead and compete, will your score be as high as others? Perhaps not but it will do wonders for your shooting. I shot my first club comp today (my first ever comp with an air rifle) in Sporting FT discipline with a Weirhauch HW97K and a Viper 10x44IR and scored 33 ex. 60 not the highest score but higher than a surprising number of guys with FT PCP's and monster scopes.
If you're just starting go with the springer, when you pick up your PCP you'll be a far better shot for it.
