Airsporter S swap for a more modern rifle WHY?

Hi,
I acquired this rifle some months ago intending to restore it but my eldest son wants to start shooting at a club down in Blackburn. So, if anyone wants a project I would like to swap this rifle for something more up to date.
The Airsporter needs rebluing and internal work as it is underpowered, the stock is nice walnut, there are no sights, the rifle is .177.
I would like to swap for a modernish rifle preferably .177, an underlever would be nice but nothing Chinese please! (I offered to buy him a new Chinese rifle-ho objected about everything from quality, copyright too human rights!).

Hope you have some luck there, i have a series 1 S model in .22. Its one of my favs, allways a top performer. atb.

I agree,
they are excellent rifles only trying to swap this to save buying a new rifle for my son who has got the plinking bug!

not really thought about its value as I got the rifle in a swap and a swap would be a lot easier than looking for a rifle (and spending the money on bills in the mean time!).
