    While looking for information in whether the HW75 cocks in the same direction as the HW45 or the 40 I found this.....

    Compression takes place on the closing stage, as on the HW40.

    (On the HW40, the up-and-down rocking of the cylinder also cocks the internal hammer/valve as well of course, on the HW75 all it does is push the external hammer back slightly to a sort-of half cock; it then needs pulling back manually to full cock.)

    That's a pity , cocking the HW40 aggrevates my tennis elbow but the 45 doesn't.

    And I don't even play tennis.
