I'd confidently say that the pcp would definately have the edge accuracy wise but remember you'll need charging gear etc and power curves are a bitch to get used to if you are new to pcp's.

The PCR1 is ok but iirc they give a low shot count per fill with a very pronounced power curve.

Could you save up for a while and buy a pcp aswell (in .177) then you'll have pcp & springer in both calibres.

I'm sure a PCR1 owner will be along shortly to set you straight.

i would say that it would be a good swap the XL for a pcp but i would go for something that is slightly more common that has a large amount of owners such as an Air Arms S4** or S200 or a falcon they are similar and have a good reputation of reliability ect. ive got nothing against the pcr1 but i think they havent been raved about where as the more common names have large amount of good reveiws and good customer support from the suppliers
    Cheers Adam
