    Comp

Will definitely consider it. The club and setup looks very professional and even if I do not compete it would be interesting to see the event. Many thanks,

    Tim

Come along Tim - this was my first shoot last year and all the lads and lasses that help out were great; they helped me with all the rules etc and made me feel very welcome...so much so I am part of the regional squad now :-)

Lee, what do they do about targets... are they electronic? I've never shot a paper targets in a comp... do you pull them in and out each shot or bang 5 into a card?

One shot per target on changers - see I am the opposite, I have only shot once on electronic targets :-)

Come and bring Rich for the weekend :-)

I assume they use 5 spots for rifle though? (cos we don't need dinner plate targets... although that's a big stretch of the word 'we' )

I'll nudge rich in it's general direction

Looks a good set up, I will print out a few forms and take them up to the club I am a member of as there will be a few interested in coming along.

all weapons must comply to either nsra or issf regulations, regarding basically size, weight, trigger weight etc.
the last time i shot there even clothing , shoes and optical aids had to comply.
the motto is be prepared and make sure you are within the guidelines set by the organisors, wether it be nsra or issf rules. they should tell you which on the entry form.
rifle shooters need to take care more than pistol shooters, us pistol shooters are only allowed shoes not boots and glasses.rifle shooters on the other hand have boots, trousers, jackets, gloves, glasses etc. to contend with.
pistol shooting is so much harder

This comp is shot to ISSF rules. You can download a copy from the ISSF website. I would not try printing it as it is over 600 pages. All equipment must comply with ISSF rules and will have to pass equipment checks at the start where they put a sticker on your gun (a nice souvenir). I have shot this comp with a Gamo Compact and with an FWB 65. On both occasions, they were the only non-PCP guns there. It is a very high standard of competition but you will be divided into a suitable class based on the average you declare so there is a chance of prize if you have a good shoot.

I might enter for the Saturday, Lee but I am also in a shoot on Sunday so I might have to sacrifice the Open this year. It is a good 10m comp to enter for anyone who wants to get into 10m shooting and to have a good look at the NSRA Aldersley facilites.
