my S10 squeaks...

I recently aquired a S10 as part of a trade. its exactly as the vendor described except it makes a weird squeaking after each shot.
It shoots fine and seems to group ok (even with me shooting) but makes a fairly loud squeaking noise after each shot.

I'm guessing that the regulator has a problem. Is this likely tto be a painful and pricey problem or a cheap to fix one?

maybe you have a mouse stuck inside it, perhaps you should remove the stock and check?

Hi URX, our club's airgun encyclopedia (mr G) enquired about how much BSA charge for a reg overhaul and it was cheaper than expected...ask him when you're next at the club.

FYI, there is a piston operated ball bearing and O-ring which form the regulator cut off valve inside the regulator, sounds like this is vibrating when the valve opens. I'll email you a picture. Most likely a harmless sound but worth a check over the chrono.

despite careful inspection no mouse has been found. Probably the reg then. I'll try replacing the o ring and go for a recon on the reg if that doesnt fix it.
