I think it would be a good idea to shoot 4 targets each discipline. There could even be a merged league of those shooting the scaled and unscaled 10m targets.

But some of us will already be shooting in the 6M & the unscaled 10M?

The original UBC comp was set up so you could shoot either 6 yrds or 10m, the choice was up to the shooter, this is why on the PDF you have the choice of 3 targets. It just so happens that just about all shooters shot at 6 yrds.

The decision to use only 2 targets was because, we have a lot of comps running and finding time to shoot them all is a problem for some, and if you are using a pistol with a target grip it's not designed to shoot two handed, so just 2 targets using your prefered grip made sense.

Let's not make it too hard for the organisers, believe it or not they do have live's too.

    Thanks Jason.

You worded better than I could

As for lives other than the pistol comps, that is true, I need time to keep camo'ing stuff

My 10M scores are very consistant with the 6 yard targets

Well when you think about it they should be as the original targets were scaled 10M ones.

Now however, the new 6 yards are slightly larger so the sights need to be re-zeroed OR you need to learn how to compensate by either hold over/or hold under.

Thats for the benefit of newbies to shooting, not trying to teach you old gits to suck eggs

    Tony

PS Mike rumaging through my draws looking for an audio cable turned up 3 Co2 bulbs

    Now R-77 or 357-6

being as I'm a middling-old git but newbie to shooting - what does hold over/under mean???!! I'm happy to adjust my gun-sights, but if I'm curious others may be!
    cheers Tony

Hold over/under is aiming above/below the bull; like if its windy, you would aim left or right to compensate.

I will try shooting the new 6yard tomorrow let you know how I get on

Well the under makes sense, since we shoot under anyhow. Was intrigued by the over bit particularly!

Doesn't generally need to compensate for wind.....unless someone in the club has eaten too many beans!!

Thanks for the scores submitted so far, boys n girls. It's absolutely gobsmacking what we're achieving here when you consider that Rod has shot this comp all the way out in South Africa - special awesomeness mention deserved, I think.

Big Ears, all I'll say is...watch this space. There'll be a second season, you know!

We have nothing like this over here so it keeps up the interest in the sport for me.

Need to say a big thank you to the bloke who posted the Nygord link, very helpfull even it is aimed at the 10m pro. shotists.
Thanks for your kind words, yes thanks to MikeB for running this one, gives me a little break from the compiling the scores , I just need to put the scores on the website when I get them.

I do think we are quite unique in the way we shoot thse competitions & am happy in the knowledge that people like yourself around the world are content in some safe shooting.

Also just to let you know that the 6yd Competition starts tomorrow 2nd May (U.K. time) Look >HERE< for details

I can't wait to see the scores & see how many people took part as I have no idea

    Regards

A gentle reminder to our kindred pistol brethren who may have forgotten.

    It's still light outside.

Submissions close at 2300 sharp tonight.

All the best and thanks to those who have already taken part,

    Mike.
