What would be a good, civil-war musket to start with? I will be primarily using it for firing blanks on my own land, but also ocassionly shooting round balls on a AFR.
I'm looking to spend around £200-£300 for a reproduction model.
Cheers,
Grouse

Might be worth going to a Sealed Knot or ECWS event and seeing if any of their kit takes your fancy.
Ron Curley of Albion Small Arms, I would recommend to you but I'm not sure if he is currently taking orders or not.
Steve.
I'm still working on the basic assumption that this is our own civil war rather than one elsewhere.....
