    Question mink

    while out shooting withe my buddy we come across what i believe was a dead mink,my buddy thinks it was something else as it was allmost white in colour. I believe mink come in lots of colours,but cant be sure,can anyone tell me if mink do come in different colours.

    there are plenty of escaped ferrets and pole cats living wild.

    black and brown are the usual colours and when they breed in the country they will be this colour BUT newly escaped ones could be different colours.
    it sounds to me like a white ferret

    mink

    i keep ferrets my self,and it was def not a ferret,a fair bit larger and very pointed face.

    ime as far south as you can go,unless you go to i.o.w.this animal was larger than a ferret with pointed face,almost white with a bushy tail,i would say half the size again of a dog ferret.a lot of mink were released by animal rights people a while back in the new forest area,thats what made me think it was a mink

    Could it have been a marten? They are known to be white in colour, although they're usually brown/red..

    i think stoats are a lot smaller,ive caught 1 or 2 while out hunting with my harris hawk,
