    Pellet tin ages?

    A club member turned up last night and gave me THESE pellet tins. Tight git they were all empty.
    Has anyone any idea of their age? I discount any Rivington R. member from entering this quiz especially MRFIXIT (aka Black Eye Steve) whoes had his chance this year of fleecing the pensioners of their Euros.

    I await any replies with interest.

    1948-55?........Thats going on similar tins I have had that have had, that have still had packing slips inside.....might be way off here, But they are "paper label" earlier tins.....later the design was identical, but with a screen printed lid...... also would REALLY like the green one if you ever decide to part with it...PLEEEEEEEZE.......Ed

    Similar here;

    These are 1955 and later....have seen slip from 1962

    P.S.......For a REAL expert, or if someone out there is familiar with the ICI / Kynoch plants history, I bet you can get more exact info by researching the address changes through the years......I hav'nt got round to having a go at this, but would be interested in any info.........most guys I know who have older guns, also have a collecton of tins of some sort..(its nice to have contemporary items)...there must be someone out there who is the "knibbs" of the pellet tin world!!

    P.P.S........Plylarms are 100% definite mid 1950's!;

    Not sure but these Wasps have a slip with December 1957 in them and yours look older. I'd say Eddie is on the right track.

    As someone who has some old BSA & Webley Pellet tins in my collection I offer £5.00 for the three, proceeds to Rivi Charity. So that I could have the pleasure of shooting these tins up prior to throwing them in my refuse bin.

    I wonder if Acidhouse would like to out bid me.

    A "weaman street" addy webley oblong tin of 500 .22 made £133 a year or so ago, when it was going bonkers for a while But I suppose if you have a webley service with all barrels in a case with just that one tin missing....
