    Lightbulb Engineering help please

    Hi all

The thread on my Logun pump has sheared infact its pretty much non-existant to be honest Anyway I have tried liquid metal , bearing sealer , PTFE tape all to no avail so it needs a new thread ! The base units thread is fine , its the small tube that sits inside the handle and outer tube btw .

As I am not getting any joy with replacement parts I wondered if the thread could be ' built up ' to allow a new thread to be cut ???

    many thanks

    Dave

The only way I can think of is building it up with weld, and then turning it down to size again. Sounds overkill to me. Where's UK Neil when you need him? Off sunnin' himself, playin' with proper guns probably.

Could you get the original part copied? It might be easier than fixing up the old part.

Don't know if that would be viable but certainly worth a try I guess ?

When you say "sheared", do you mean "stripped"?

    Big difference.

Send it back to Logun and make them fix it
