    Attention Lightweight Sporting Rifle participants

The 2009 Surrey Open takes place on Saturday July 11th 2009 at the Lord Roberts Centre Bisley.

    Everyone welcome.

Details of the competition and the application form can be downloaded from the Surrey Small Bore website.

Last year we had entrants from all over and our very own English travelled down from Scotland and took home the Rapid Fire prize.

If you have any questions then please PM me.

I've sent my entry form in for this. It would be nice to know who else from the BBS will be there. Good to say "hello" and be able to put faces to names.

    I'll be there.

Chap sitting behind the computer then running to the range to shoot and then running back to put the scores on

Last year was a fun day.

Hopefully English (Andrew will be there too).

Think I may get away with sneaking this onto the domestic calendar...

Help, as a complete LSR novice, I'd appreciate some advice:
What should I enter? Precison & rapid fire clearly, combined? grand aggregate? both?
What relays should I request, e.g. is it a mistake to try to shoot back to back relays?
I've never shot an LSR competition before so I don't have an average, is this a problem?

    regards
    Nigel

    Definately do a precision one.

The timed is not so much rapid fire, that we did last year, as quick reaction. The target will only be exposed for 3 sections We simulated it at the club and its doable. Plus the targets will be very large

I'm entering both, as I did last year, and did back to back details without problems.

There is plenty of time allowed for the precision. But I would definately do the precision first as the rapid fire WILL get the heart pumping

Its very relaxed and everyone last year seemed to enjoy it.

    Looking forward to seeing you.

On the day, but we were almost full last year and hopefully getting more publicity this year. I'll let you know if it looks like we are running out of places.

It would be good to have you along.

A little bump for the Surrey Open.

Colin has asked me to help out too, I think for the morning session as I will be shooting myself in the afternoon.

Anyone got a handle on who's doing what yet? I think bullbarrel is quite involved with this to?

Hope to see you all there and put some names to faces!! Norm, BB, FCat, Jim!!

    Cheers

Dude, don't do it. How ever bad the score is its just not worth it!!

I saw English today and he is definately coming.

Still plenty of room, so get your registrations sent off. To me

Be there. Or don't be there.

Perhaps I'll just strap myself to the target boards,,

Is there any surcharge for streaking at the end of the comp?
